Long Overdue Update
Folks,
Video Jihad was a success. Big belated congratulations goes out to Mark Colegrove and his Video Jihad team for taking both Audience Choice and Jury Choice prizes in our first Video Jihad contest with his short: "Dateline: To Catch a Pervert." Definitely a video that should be watched and then watched again. Also big congratulations to the "Sunshine Boyz" for winning the first "So Bad it's Good" award in the Jihad competition for their piece: "The Attack of the Brutas". All in all, 8 completed projects screened and we would like to give a big thanks to all participants, people who attended, and the Creative Alliance for letting us hold such an event. We'll keep you posted if anymore of the projects from the JIHAD competition make it to the internet.
We attended North Carolina's world-famous "Hi Mom Film Festival" just recently to screen 3 of our recent shorts and had a primarily drunken blast. Many thanks to Matt Hedt and crew. Shout-outs to Khang Mai, Onur Tukel, and Steve Daniels. "Big-ups" to Steve for sweeping the hell out of the festival with his "Gibbering Horror of Howard Ghormley." NC, just like last year, has overwhelmed us with good times and thanks to everyone who hung out with us and listened to us jabber.
In other news, the new DMFS studio album is coming together quite nicely and should be completed soon. A new short, "PENIS REDUX" will be shot in July and if anyone is interested in being in a Better Hollywood short shot in the Baltimore area next month, let us know.
