For those who came out and saw
The Odd Bones,
The Dengerettes, and Dirty Marmaduke Flute Squad @ the Talking Head Saturday night. Cold ass weather, numerous equipment failures and problems, AND the complete loss of plumbing at the venue didn't stop any of you folks from wanting to see a good show and we were all obliged and humbled by your dedication to the rock. We love you immensely, and thank you for making Saturday night a very big and glorious night for the other bands and us. It's not everyday you got appreciative fans pissing outside in cold, windy alleys infested with rats or walking down the block in freezing ass cold to the Sidebar to use working bathrooms AND then hurrying back to catch the rest of the show and drinking more beer and liquor in defiance of the tyranny that is the human bladder. That's some rock n' roll shit right there and I was glad to be a part of it.
Also, big ups to the workin' folks @ the Talking Head who treated us with respect, dealt with some crazy, off-the-wall type shit the whole night, and kept everyone, the crowd and the bands from imploding or curling up in the fetal position. They probably violated a couple of building, business, and fire codes in the name of rock n' roll and for that, we largely thank them.
Hopefully if the recording turns out to be of good quality we will have it available on this site in the coming weeks. Other than that, we will be at South by Southwest next month to promote the band and the films. Dirty Marmaduke Flute Squad's new album will be recorded in April in hopes for a summer release. And our new short, is slowly chugging into productions (seriously we already shot some footage).
