The Summer That Keeps on Giving
Ladies and Gentleman,
I'm proud to announce that the new production from BHP, a music video for Brian Adam Ant's song "I'm so bored that I could cry" is now complete. After we have a proper screening of the film in a week or so we will post it for you kindly people.
There are currently no shows scheduled for the Dirty Marmaduke Flute Squad. So why not book us? We'll play damn near anywhere where there are people, beer and snacks. Just email me (Nikc) to set up a date. In the meantime, I will be hitting the shed to record some brand new rock n' roll dynamite.
Our frenzy of festival screenings has died down recently, giving us just enough time to catch our damn breath. There is one screening looming out there in Austin Texas, not SxSW but the illustrious FLICKER AUSTIN on August 25th. Though I've never been to a flicker screening, I have shown in two before (Richmond and Spokane, Washington) and they always treat me good (send me posters, programs etc) I highly recommend sending your Super 8 based film out to them. The zine is really cool too.
As for what's going to be happening with us in the next few months. Well, I'm searching for a job as always. Captain Mediocrity is going back to school. CAmm Slamm is September 23-25 so definitely be there to check out our third offering to this mammoth local event. We are planning to hit hard with our classic "Shock and Awe" style, you won't want to miss it. Also, I will be in an experimental film class, which basically means that I have to make two experimental films by December, so that should be interesting. Stay tuned for weekly updates and as always new CHUNKS.
